S&P Computersysteme GmbH was engaged by the general contractor for automated warehouse systems to implement the application software for the warehouse management computer. The SuPCIS system was used, whose standardised core functionality was enhanced to meet customer-specific requirements.
The following process organisational systems are managed in the warehouse of Good Time Holding:
- Goods receipt
- Storage preparation
- Automated high bay warehouse as a replenishment warehouse and for the removal of large quantities with 9,500 pallet locations, 9 aisles and 2 retrieval machines with transfer bridges
- Manually operated flow racks as picking warehouse (6 shelves with a total of 3,000 flow channels and a throughput of 5000 picks per shift)
- Manually operated special warehouse
- Automatic conveyor systems
- Order merging
From an IT technology standpoint, the warehouse management computer is embedded in the following hierarchy:
Enterprise and operational control level: COMET on SIEMENS RM400 under SINIX
System control level: Warehouse management computer with SuPCIS-L
System and process level: SIEMENS SMP material flow computer for the control and management of the retrieval systems and automated conveyor systems
