HD FESTIVAL for Digital Film 2008 - The International Digital Cinema Festival

We welcome you to the second edition of the HD Festival for digital film with HD program market in munich.
The HD Festival, the first International Festival for Digital Cinema is dedicated to the promotion of digital cinematography. The HD Festival, the HD Film program market and the DIGITAL FILM SHOW will be open march 26 2009. Last year over 60 HD-Productions have been entered by international production companies.
The award ceremony for the Grand Prix and the Golden Artist will be held march 26, 2009 at the ARRI Cinema Theatre in Munich, Germany from 8pm to 10pm.The festival categories are commercials, industrial films, feature films, short films, documentaries, best visual effects, best cinematography, art and experimental films, best HD-DVD-Project, trailer/openings, education and visualisation. An international jury selects the winners of the GOLDEN ARTIST and the HD Festival GRAND PRIX.
Only programs delivered on HD tapes are accepted for competition to maintain perfect picture quality in digital projection.
The following tape format as entering formats will be accepted: HDCAM and HDV. The programs have to be shot on any HD-Format or Digital Cinematography Camera.

The HD Festival is presented by the Media Commerce Group MCG GmbH in Landsberg/Munich, publisher of the trade magazine PRODUCTION REALITY and organizer of the OPEN HOUSE EUROPE trade shows.
